Merry Christmas

Well, as you can see, I have not posted for a while. After the craft fair (which, by the way went incredibly well) I put the stamps, inks and papers away. In the new year I will be back at it. Holding classes, workshops and getting ready for Valentine's Day.
I would like to thank everyone who supported me in my endeavours this year. Deciding to leave work to pursue my stamping passion full time was not an easy decision and I am truly grateful for my family and friends who told me that this is what I should be doing.

To everyone I would like to wish a very Merry Christmas, may the spirit of the season remain with you throughout the coming year. May you have an abundance of health, happiness and harmony in 2010.

God bless and happy creating.
Valerie

Gift set

I created this desktop calendar for a friend who wanted it as a gift for a friend. Although the camera does not show the true colours. It's a pale sage green and a pale baby pink. I hope she likes it.

Stamp A Stack cards

These were the cards that we made at the Stamp A Stack. A good time was had by all of the ladies. They did a great job on their cards. Wish there was snow on the ground to make it feel a little bit more like Christmas. Maybe if we put the tree and decorations up in the house it will help.

Missing you

My apologies for not posting any updates. My camera went on the fritz, so I was unable to take any pictures of my new creations. Now I finally have a new camera.
I'm off to a card making retreat this weekend, so I will have lots of pictures to post on Monday.
I look forward to spending the weekend with a bunch of creative ladies, and working on a whole lot of different projects.

Birthday Blues

I really like how this one turned out.

Desk topper

I made this desk topper for a friends 30th birthday. She is a hairdresser so I thought she could put this at her station. On one side is a holder for her business cards and the other side is a calendar.

Onsies

I've seen lots of these on other forums. Thought they would have been a lot harder to make. It was actually very easy, so needless to say I will be making more of these.

Going Buggy

I love red, white and black colour combos. Always look so crisp.

Harvest Time

Although I hate to admit it I can sense the end of summer. I love summer but fall is my favorite time of the year.
Although you can't see it in the picture, the leaves have some fall coloured sparkles on them.

Groovy Girl

I heat embossed some white embossing powder on glossy cardstock, then colour washed to make it look tye dyed. I think a teen girl would love this card.

Clean and Simple

I love this card. It was sooooo simple, just one layer. It could be used for a gent's birthday or an anniversary card.

Time for baby

Here are two baby cards that I made with the Animal Stories set from Stampin' Up!

My card critic

This is Felix, he is one of two cats that we have. We also have a dog. He often watches me make my cards. As you can see, he sleeps in amongst my supplies.

Card PAcks

Here is a sample of the card packs that I am selling. 10 assorted Birthday Cards for $30. I'm making several for an upcoming craft fair.

Pillow Box

I just got this pillow box die for my Big Shot. It makes a smaller box than I was hoping. I wanted it for gift cards, but they won't fit. It would be good for small gifts or treats. It would be great for a Wedding favour.

Clean and Simple

I love this Medallion stamp from Stampin' Up! There are so many different ways to use it. I will be trying a few out over the next few days.

Wedding cards

This card was made for a young lady who was my flower girl 18 years ago. Boy do I feel old.

Wedding cards galore

The inside verse of this card says:
Marriage is a lot like a quilt,
It's a bunch of life's little pieces all
sewn together with love.
Congratulations on getting stitched!

Living Life

Just fooling around but I really like it.

Card for the Gents

I love the Asian Artistry (Hostess Set) from Stampin' Up! It has some great images that aren't too feminine.

Sparkly Fun

These pictures don't show how sparkly these card are. The coloured circles are covered with irridescent ice embossing powder. I wanted some cards that were bright and cheerful.

Military Thank You

This card was made for a friend's husband who is going to receive the Military Medal of Valor for his bravery in Afghanistan. We are all so very proud of him and all our soldiers overseas.

Busy Day

I had a very productive day. Really trying to create lots of cards for my bundles that I'm selling. I've renovated my workspace. Took it out of the basement and put it upstairs. A small space but a lot more natural light. I don't feel as those that I'm in a dungeon anymore.
